About Ryan 

Ryan White was born and raised in Darlington, South Carolina. He is a lifelong resident of the Pee Dee Area.

 

Ryan graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in English. Thereafter, he graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law. During law school, Ryan worked as a law clerk for the South Carolina House of Representatives’ Labor, Commerce, and Industry Committee.

 

Following graduation from law school, Ryan worked as a law clerk to the Honorable R. Ferrell Cothran, from whom he gained invaluable knowledge and experience. Ryan next began working for the 12th Circuit Solicitor’s Office where his passion and commitment to justice led to a promotion to the 12th Circuit Violent Crime Prosecutor, with special emphasis placed on Murder. Ryan also joined the faculty of instructors for the South Carolina Commission on Prosecution Coordination’s Prosecution Bootcamp, which meets annually for the purpose of training new prosecutors from across the state.

 

Recently, Ryan had the honor of being selected to the Post and Courier’s Top Twenty Under Forty List where he received top honors as the highest ranked male leader in the Pee Dee. Ryan sits on the board of directors for the Florence Little Theatre and is President-Elect for the upcoming season. He also sits on the board of directors for the South Carolina Law Enforcement Officers Association (SCLEOA) Foundation, the board of directors for the School Foundation, is a member of the Marion Rotary Club, and a member of Hampton Masonic Lodge #204. Ryan raised over $38,000 for the School Foundation's Dancing for Our Future Stars, winning first place for the People's Choice Awards.

 

Along with his beautiful wife, Marianna, and his two children, Rennie and Beau, Ryan attends St. John’s Church of Florence.
